Japanese Cosmetics Delivered to Europe: Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Other Countries

How to order Japanese cosmetics from Tokyo to an EU country: a site in Russian and English, the minimum order by country, who pays VAT, prices in euros, Japan Post tracking, returns and what to pick for a first order.

If you live in Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands or another European Union country and you are used to Japanese skincare, finding it locally is not always easy: European shops carry a smaller range, and some products are sold in a different version. Eurasia Japan ships Japanese cosmetics directly from Tokyo to all 27 EU countries, and the whole site is available in English and Russian. Here is how ordering works step by step, the minimum order for your country, who pays VAT and when, and what to pick for a first order.
Who we are and where the products come from
Eurasia Japan is a shop in Tokyo. We buy from Japanese manufacturers, their distributors and Japanese retail stores, and ship from Japan by Japan Post with tracking. Every item is a single retail pack of the Japanese market with a JAN barcode; before dispatch we check the barcode, packaging and expiry date. Product pages list the manufacturer's ingredients and directions for use.
The Russian version of the site lives at addresses starting with /ru, the English version at plain addresses such as the face care catalog. Please note that we do not ship to Russia or Belarus.
How to order
- Pick products in the catalog. Each one lists specifications, ingredients and directions for use.
- The cart splits the order into parcels within the weight Japan Post accepts for your country and shows the minimum order.
- Sign in or create an account and pay by card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express). The order is confirmed instantly, no manager review needed.
- Once the parcel ships, a tracking number and a Japan Post tracking link appear in your account.
Minimum order by country
The minimum counts products only; shipping is not included.
- ¥8,000 for most EU countries, including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy and Spain.
- ¥30,000 for nine countries: Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Luxembourg, Portugal and Finland.
Why: since July 2026 Japan Post does not accept parcels with goods under €150 to these nine countries. Such parcels need VAT prepaid by the seller through the EU IOSS system, and customs in these countries return them. A parcel with goods of €150 or more goes through regular clearance. ¥30,000 keeps the goods value at or above €150 as long as the euro does not cost more than ¥200. In these countries cashback can be spent only on the part of an order above ¥30,000, so that the declared value stays above the threshold; the checkout handles this.
VAT and customs
The EU charges import VAT on any parcel from outside the Union, and duty applies from €150. At the time of writing we do not collect VAT at checkout: your country's VAT, any duty and the postal clearance fee are paid by the recipient on delivery. These amounts are set by local customs and the postal service, are not part of our price and are not refundable. If this changes, VAT will appear at checkout as a separate line. Indicative thresholds are in the table on the delivery terms page.
Prices in euros, payment in yen
Prices are set in Japanese yen and cards are charged in yen. The currency switcher in the header shows prices in euros, US dollars and several other currencies, which helps to estimate a basket. Your bank converts the final yen amount at its own rate. Every delivered order returns 5% to your account as cashback for future purchases.
Shipping and tracking
At checkout you choose a Japan Post service available for your country: EMS is the fastest, airmail parcels cost less, and slower options exist. Not every service has tracking: the cheapest small packet is untracked, and the checkout shows this. The status "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" means the parcel has left Japan; once it reaches your country, your local postal service's site usually shows more detail.
What cannot be posted
Japan Post does not accept aerosols and any pressurised containers, alcohol-based perfumes and nail polish, bleach, loose lithium batteries and power banks, e-cigarettes, plants and seeds. Some cosmetics (sunscreens, liquid deodorants, foundations) need a composition document from the manufacturer.
