CANMAKE, CEZANNE and Heroine Make are the names US shoppers usually hear first when they start looking at Japanese makeup. All three are drugstore brands in Japan: small, affordable products in a huge range of shades, with formulas built for humid summers, such as waterproof mascaras and long-wearing brow products. Heroine Make. A specialist in eye makeup, especially film-type mascaras that the brand describes as resistant to water, sebum and rubbing yet removable with warm water and facial cleanser.

• CEZANNE Brush Eyebrow Pencil, Natural Brown. A powdery brow pencil with a spiral brush; the formula is described as waterproof and resistant to sebum and sweat.
• CANMAKE Powder Cheeks P01, 1.8g. A single-shade powder blush with fine pearl for a sheer, skin-blending color.
• CEZANNE Natural Cheek N 01, Peach Pink. A peach-pink powder blush with fine pearl particles and an applicator brush in the pack.
• CEZANNE Pearl Glow Highlight 03 Aurora Mint, 2.4g. A powder highlighter with a brush, made to brighten the high points of the face.

Choosing shades when you cannot swatch

Japanese color products are named by number and shade name, for example "P01" or "05 Figue Pure", and the same product line often comes in many numbers. A few practical rules help:

• Copy the exact shade number from the product page rather than searching by color word.
• For brows, choose by hair color: lighter browns and greige for light or dyed hair, deeper browns for dark hair.
• Sheer products such as the CANMAKE and CEZANNE blushes or watery tints are more forgiving if you are unsure of the shade.
• Clear or base lash products, like the Quick Lash Curler, do not depend on shade at all.

Why foundations, SPF bases and nail polish are not in this list

Some product types are harder or impossible to ship internationally. Nail polish is a flammable liquid, and Japan Post does not accept flammable liquids or aerosols for international mail, so we do not sell them for shipping abroad. Foundations and sunscreens are accepted by the post only with a composition document from the manufacturer; if the manufacturer does not provide one, we cannot ship the item. Many Japanese bases, cushions and powders also carry SPF ratings. To keep this list to products that are simplest to send, it covers eye, brow, cheek and lip makeup only. If it turns out after payment that an item cannot be sent to your country, we cancel that item and refund its price in full.

Products are made for the Japanese market: labels and instructions are in Japanese, the English text on the site is a translation of the manufacturer's information, and the products have not been assessed by the FDA.

Ordering makeup to the United States

Eurasia Japan ships original Japanese products to the US directly from Tokyo, every item a single retail pack with a JAN code. We buy from Japanese manufacturers, their distributors and Japanese retail stores.

• US duty is prepaid at checkout. Since 29 August 2025 US duty applies to every parcel. The US import duty (12.5% of the goods value) and the customs clearance fee are calculated at checkout and included in your payment, through a duty-prepaid (DDP) label processed by Zonos. There is nothing to pay on delivery.
• Minimum order ¥8,000 in products. Makeup items are small, so most people combine several shades or add skincare or hair care to reach it. Shipping is not counted towards the minimum and is charged by the actual weight of the parcel.
• Prices in dollars, payment in yen. US visitors see prices in US dollars by default; the card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB or American Express) is charged in Japanese yen through Stripe.
• Dispatch timing. Items sourced to order usually ship within 7-10 business days of payment, warehouse items within 3-5; the product page shows which applies. These are estimates.
• Tracking. A tracking number appears in your account once the parcel ships, and every parcel is insured for the full value of the goods.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay customs or duty on delivery in the US? No. The US import duty and the customs clearance fee are calculated at checkout and included in your payment, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.

Can I order Japanese nail polish to the US? No. Nail polish is a flammable liquid, and flammable liquids are not accepted for international mail from Japan.

Are the shade names and instructions in English? The packaging is in Japanese. The product pages on our site give an English translation of the manufacturer's description and the shade number, which is the same on the pack.

Can I return a lipstick or mascara I have tried? Opened cosmetics cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Unopened items in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery, with return shipping paid by the customer; see Returns & Claims.
